The name Longstone Tyres has been synonymous with retro, veteran, vintage tyres and classic tyres for over 30 years. Longstone Tyres have huge supplies of all styles of retro tyre, veteran tyre, vintage tyre and classic tyres for virtually any oldtimer car ever made! The company is run by enthusiasts who are keen active members of the Vintage Sports Car Club (VSCC) and other motoring clubs.

Our Local VSCC Pub Meet

You are welcome to view our retro rubber selection at our Bawtry warehouse. The kettle is always on, and we offer free fitting and advice (and possibly biscuits). There are usually several retro, vintage and classic cars worth a glance in the workshop. You will also have the chance to look at our supplies of veteran tyre, vintage tyres and classic tyres, which range from beaded edge to the millimetric Michelin TRX tyre (fitting everything from the beginnings of Daimler Benz to Renault Alpine and Ferrari Testarossa).

Longstone Tyres can be found at the following VSCC and other events during 2011. We may be fitting and balancing vintage tyres, but will definitely offering advice to competitors and public alike. This is the perfect opportunity to look at all the variations in tread patterns and sizes and speak to our vintage tyres sales team.

Longstone Tyres has a dedicated tyre sales team of five people; all knowledgable and keen to help. These five are the people you will speak to on the phone and see at the race meetings offering advice on which retro, classic, veteran or vintage tyre will suit you and your car best.

Dougal Cawley

Dougal is the owner of Longstone Tyres, he drives a lot of vintage cars! A Jaguar XJ12, two Ford Model A one roadster the other saloon, a Fraser Nash/GN/Ford special called 'Piglet', a Zetec engine MkV Ford Cortina, two DAF one brown the other orange! He has just scrapped his Limousine. Liz, his wife, is driving a Renault 5 that she bought on Ebay, to wander around and go shopping.

Simon Cox

Simon is a keen driver of his nimble Lancia Beta Coupe (come rain or shine), and has been fed Castrol R from a very early age. Unfortunately he has just blown the engine up! As a stop gap Simon bought a (manky) Jensen Healey to enjoy summer, but the car has been sold now, and Simon doesn't have a vintage car anymore!!!

Andy Cawley

Dougal's father, Andy is often seen out and about in his Fraser Nash Super Sports or his GN. He has been a VSCC member for over 40 years! Andy has an Austin Seven Chummy, he sold the 1921 Bean (possibly a has-bean).

Due to the demise of his 535i BMW Andy has been forced to buy a reliable (underpowered) modern car : a Fiat Multipla...

Tom Homan

Tom has got his driving licence for 6 years now (on ebay I think). After a Vauxhall Astra to practise his skills in, he has got a Renault Clio. But now he's driving a VW Golf GT TDI... Va Va Voom.
